Self Representation

 

I present myself as being quite a fashionable up to date person. I like looking my best whereever I go whether that be to the local shop or to a party. I think myself as a typical 17 year old with all the problems that come with being a 17 year old such as the pressure and stresses of exams, social life, getting a job etc.

 

The typical clothes I choose to wear when I'm going out are quite fashionable in this modern day age. With reality shows such as The Only Way Is Essex showing us what are the fashionable clothes are. I tend to wear skinny jeans with t-shirts, polo shirts or a long sleeve jumper with then wearing either nike or addidas trainers to wear with that. I like to look quite smart and well groomed and with my hairstyle I have a combover. The Only Way is Essex has definitely changed my style over the last couple of years. Also I like to go to the gym to work out, I do this to make myself feel better, to raise my self esteem and also because it is very much expected of men our age to go gym and get our bodies musclely and toned. I speak quite well, I use words that some of my friends don't understand. I don't like it when people speak in constant slang.

 

 

 

 

 

My typical day to day activities and lifestyle that I have would be during the day I would go to school during the day, come home and spend a few hours watching TV or playing playstation while being on my computer checking twitter and facebook, or going out with my friends playing football, then between 7-8 I will go gym for a couple of hours then come back and watch more TV then go to bed.

I am a very fit, sporty person and I love football i always keep up to date with all the goings on in football. And i play for a sunday league team called Mildmay.

 

 

On social networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook I present myself as just a normal guy, I don't post many pictures of myself I only have a couple and my profile pictures are myself with my group of friends, the people that I follow on Twitter are either my friends, people I went to school with, people of other schools and people that I would like to get to know. Or hot girls. I don't want to come across as someone who is really vain, judgemental, stuck up or someone who loves themselves like a lot of other people do who are no very nice people. I'm a friendly person to everyone who is friendly towards me. However I do have a very bad temper on myself.

 

 

 

 

 

I do not want to be represented as what the media feeds of the mordern youth of today as being a chav, thug, theif, drug user etc. That is what the media use to create a negative representation of teengers and that is what i do not want to be associated as. Youths who loiter and intimidate other people on park benches wearing tracksuit bottoms and hoodies while smoking and having no education is a very bad representaion of someone. This is a very stereotypical representation of teenagers is mordern day society not helped by the London Riots where youths were in abundance.
